Every girl needs a little black dress. It goes well for every occasion and it’s easy to dress up for night out or down for more casual look. For my little black dress I chose this structured piece. When I saw it at Charlotte Russe it instantly caught my eye. I love the loose top of the dress and curve fitting bottom of it. I paired it with Guess sandals for a more casual look and yellow Target necklace for a little pop of color. Neons are coming back strong this season and this little sparkle definitely adds some color to the very neutral outfit. What’s your little black dress like?

Since in my mind I always associated summer with an array of colors ranging from pastels to neons I decided to make a delicious sugar coated post, especially that it’s been gloomy and raining a lot in Florida lately. Time to brighten up the mood!
This shimmering and silky powder eyes shadow instantly caught my eye. The mellow yellow color makes me think of warm rays of sunshine on my skin. My advice while wearing such a bold color would be to keep the rest of the make-up simple, avoid bronzer or blush but definitely apply dark dark mascara. The Make up Forever eye shadow is available exclusively at Sephora retailing at $20.00.
Tarte blush reminds me of delicious rock candy in the same rosy pink color. This specific bright pink color is named Amused and according to Sephora’s description it lasts up to 12-hours! Pretty good deal if you ask me. It was also created for all skin types, which is a big plus for me since I have mixed skin. Available at many stores, such as: Sephora and Ulta.
Leah is very vibrant and shimmery color created by Julep, which is a perfect accessory for the summer. With this green you can add some sparkle and life to even the plainest outfit.
This new Tarte lip gloss reminds me of twizlers and let’s face it every girl needs a good lip gloss with her. I love the bright red color of it and I think it’s definitely a perfect shade for the summer.

Today has been little bit hectic so I decided I would post some gorgeous looks from this week:
Twilight cutie Ashley Green looked stunning at the Samsung Galaxy SIII’s launch in this curve fitting dress, keeping it simple and stylish.
Lea Michele and Bethenny Frankel looking stunning and summery in their light but girly outfits while filming segment for Bethenny’s show.
Kate Mara pulled a winning look with mixing the polka-dot Madewell blazer with white shorts and Cognac Coach cluch at the N.Y.C. Coach’s event
Stacy Keibler rocking an amazing look in this maxi red skirt, simple black tank paired with denim jacket and stylish fedora, plus George Clooney as arm candy would make every girl smile. What else can I add this is definitely a look I will have to try this summer.

There have been many fashion influences I gave in over the course of few years but let me share some inspiring ladies who will probably be dictating a lot in my style, since they already have a huge part in it:

I figured that the most proper way of starting the first post would be with explaining how the name and the blog itself came about. Starting with the idea for the blog… I always loved fashion and all things related. My mom introduced me to Vogue, Elle and everything that came with this beautiful passion. She also used to be an Avon representative so I would get my little hands on all the cool make-up and goodies they had for kids as well as my mom’s grown up make-up. My mom was always my style inspiration, because she always manages to look so classy yet so daring. As a little girl I always wished I would grow up to look like my mom and funny enough when I look at her picture when she was my age we look like twins! So I guess I got my wish. Since those young years I always loved fashion and everything that came with it but when it came to college I chose to pursue psychology as my major. This blog is sort of an outlet for me to write about anything I want or just go silly with the fashion choices, plus such a good excuse to get dressed up ;)
Moving on to the name Dag’s Doll Life. Well my lovely mom always calls me “lalka” which means doll in Polish. It has been the nickname she used for me since I can remember. My cousin and close friend collaborated on the idea of Dag’s Doll Life when I told them I wanted to start a blog, since I liked the name I just went with it.
I will try to keep the blog updated as much as possible, so I hope for everyone’s patience as I go through this journey with it. Hope everyone enjoys!
